And another reason for the delay - I finally got a copy of "This Leaden Pall" [from iTunes as Amazon failed to deliver, figuratively speaking] before Christmas and I'm still bitterly disappointed by it.
I shunned HMHB for a couple of months in my own silent protest. But then during a prolonged iTunes session the playback fell on Achtung Bono and that was quickly and cheerfully followed by McIntyre (et al.)
I feel like a born again HMHBer and I want to proclaim it to the world. The six or so people who read this site will suffice.
Yes, you did indeed tell me so...but I did listen again over the weekend and I started to like a few of the tracks.
No headway on albums you sent I'm afraid. Work has been manic and freetime a rarity. But as I have psent a lot of time viewing the blog again lately I am determined to get things up to speed again soon.
Sir Findo, I have just realised what time you posted your comment and tied it in with the Restless legs quote....sorry I missed that first time round but it made me laugh this evening.
Have been listening to HMHB since about 1986 (I think) when I bought back in the DHSS
Couldn't find any listing for 'Whiteness thy name is Meltonian' which is my all time favourite HMHB track. I'll try to provide those in the next couple of days if that would be helpful ?
yes, please! keep posting!
ReplyDeleteI should blimmin' well think so too :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, nice to see someone cares.
ReplyDeleteI will endeavour to add to the listings as soon as I can.

this leaden pall...not their best effort by any means, but numbers like '4AD3DCD' and 'turned up clocked on laid off' make it worth holding onto
ReplyDeleteI will give it another listen but certainly nothing on the album caught me initially.
ReplyDeleteAnd I might get more lyrics done too :P
Four oh six and I’m wide awake
ReplyDeleteI’ve got an uncontrollable urge to take
A five mile hike around the Ogwen Lake
Stretch these restless legs
Excellent site.. Keep up the good work!
EE, with regard to This Leaden Pall, I don't wanna say "I told you so", but well.... :)
ReplyDeleteAny headway with the other albums I sent?

I may get another album on before the week is out.
